Mt. 5:10 NIV Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Dear friends,

There has been much light on this board about all Christians being children of God, being included in the New Covenant, partaking of the emblems of Jesus' body and blood, receiving God's holy spirit - I think we would agree also that Christians can look forward to persecution in one form or another for doing the right thing. I wonder, can we say that the kingdom of heaven is for all Christians?

Dear Libby,  I'm with you on this Smiley The "Lord's Prayer" in Matt. 6:9-12, states...verse 10 Let your kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also upon the earth.NWT...

Will the kingdom of heaven be applied to the earth? Will all those who believe in Jesus, and exercised faith in him, be a part of that kingdom? We are always praying for God to begin his rule. We are asking to be in the kingdom of the heavens! Smiley

Maybe, you are looking at this from a different angle than I am. Are you?    Love, Linda

Dear Linda,

I agree with everything you wrote  8-! earth is included in God's kingdom. I think we're both looking at the kingdom as a realm (land and peoples) where the king has dominion, rather than as a government in heaven.
